Read your DMARC report

Drop here the file that came from noreply-dmarc-support@google.com, Microsoft or Yahoo and see who sent email as your domain, what passed and what failed.

The file is read in your browser: nothing is sent to mxproxy or anyone else.

What a DMARC report is

  • When your DMARC has rua=mailto:..., Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and others send, once a day, a summary of every email they received using your domain as the sender.
  • The summary comes as XML (almost always compressed as .gz or .zip) that is hard to read by hand: one block per source server, with how many messages it sent and whether they passed SPF and DKIM.
  • “Aligned” means the domain that passed SPF or DKIM is the same as the sender people see. That is what DMARC checks: one of the two aligned is enough for a message to pass.
  • A failure is not always an attack: forwarding and services you forgot to set up show up here too. The report is the map to reach p=reject without losing legitimate email.

Set this up for free with mxproxy

Point your MX to mxproxy and get your domain's email in Gmail, Outlook or the inbox you already use. The dashboard shows the exact records to copy and checks your DNS for you.
